Spring into Fall!
|
The Big Switcheroo
The weather is changing and so should your wardrobe. Take some time to go through your fall/winter clothes and try things on. If something doesn't fit anymore, donate it. Charities like Goodwill and Big Brother Big Sister are always looking for winter clothing. What a great time to have your sweaters cleaned, too. Remember, if something is stained or ripped, throw it out. You don't want to be caught in the cold with a moth ridden wool cardigan, do you?! |
Holiday Preparation
The start of Fall is also the start of the holiday season. Preparation is key when it comes to the holidays. Some things to help make this time of year a little easier are: polishing the silver (a necessary evil for that great presentation), swap summer decorations for fall/winter ones, and start your holiday shopping (no one likes the last minute holiday rush, so why not start early and avoid it all together). |

Home Maintenance
Maintaining your home is a constant task. Before the temperature drops and the snow starts to fall, give your grass a little love. Cut it shorter than usual and use a winter fertilizer. This will help your grass survive the temperature shifts. I know we all like to say "I don't do windows" but the fact is someone has to and the Fall is a perfect time to wash them inside and out (even if you hire someone else to do it). Don't forget snow removal. Take out the snow blower and make sure it's working and have it serviced, if necessary. Find the ice melt and put it somewhere easily accessible for quick disbursement (don't want to take a header down the stairs)!

Enjoy Mother Nature's Show!
Well, you didn't think the change of seasons is all about work, did you?! Heck no! Get out there, take a deep breath and enjoy the leaves changing color and the crisp air. Go for a walk or take a drive, either way enjoy the show. |
